Highlights of April 2009 See what we were reading in April 2009 Mid-April our friends George and David stopped by for a visit on their way to the Anderson Valley. It was a gorgeous, sunny afternoon.
In early April, our 9 year old Husky, Asia was diagnosed with Osteo Sarcoma (cancer of the bone). We had to have her left leg amputated. She is now a 3-legged dog and is getting around quite well. The prognosis is not good - she will ultimately die of cancer, we just don't know when. For now she is getting chemotherapy at the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. We are enjoying her company while we can and TasZ still wants to play with her. On April 25, we saw the Dali Lama speak at the Greek Theater at UC Berkeley to a crowd of 7000. It was a beautiful day and he is a pretty funny guy. He ended the the talk with a call to "go Bears!"
On April 26, we did our annual pilgrimage to the Sonoma County Dry Creek Valley for passport. |
