June was a busy month. It started with an Autodesk Ideas Driving Change workshop in Boston, followed by a Black Mountain Ranch Hike, a Russan Book Club, and culminated with the Aspen Ideas Festival in Aspen, CO.
Ideas Driving Change Workshop, Boston
In early June, Jon's team put on an Ideas Driving Change workshop at the Build Space in the Autodesk offices in Boston. This was the fourth in a series that examined the future of work and learning. The previous one was last summer in San Francisco. We had a lively discussion and developed some good insights and connections.

Black Mountain Ranch Hike
On June 15, we hiked to the top of Black Mountain on Black Mountain Ranch. The hike was sponsored by the Marin Agricultural Land Trust (MALT), which buys development rights to agricultural land in Marin County to preserve it for agricultural use. This is an annual event open only to MALT donors. The hike was about six miles with an elevation gain of 1200'. The view from the top is supposedly spectacular but we never saw it since we were shrouded in fog. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the hike and look forward to doing it again when we can see the view.
Russian Book Club
Later on June 15, we went to our friend Mickey's cozy vintage Airstream trailor for a book club and dinner. The book was A Gentleman in Moscow and we had a Russian themed dinner. It was also Countessa Heike's birthday so we celebrated that as well.
Aspen Ideas Festival
At the end of June, Jon went to the Aspen Ideas Festival for the second time. It was a pleasant surprise to run into friends Mike and Kathy McCoy
