Jon's Birthday at Coles

On October 15^th, Jon's 65^th birthday, we went to Cole's Chop House in Napa for Jon's birthday dinner. We've been going there for Jon's birthday almost every years since Cole's opened. We had a nice seat outside and a good steak dinner.

Carmel

The weekend of October 23^ed, we went to Carmel for a long weekend, staying at La Playa Carmel, where we have stayed before. It was a rainy weekend but we got in some tennis and beach-walking - and saw The Walker House - one of Frank Lloyd Wright's designs on Carmel Beach.

Saturday morning, we went over to the Mission Ranch tennis club for a lesson with Chris Myrold, one of our favorite tennis pros. After our lesson we took Chris's advice and went over to The Hay in Pebble Beach for a lunch on te golf course.

On a rainy Sunday afternoon, we drove the 17-Mile drive and ended up at the Inn At Spanish Bay for lunch at Roy's, one of our favorites.
