March ...
Above the Dwarf Oak Trail
Jon hiked the Dwarf Oak Trail, at the western end of Mt. Burdell above the Rolling Hills Tennis club. While playing tennis I noticed a new social trail heading up the ridge from the Dwarf Oak Trail. I hiked it to the ridge top which afforded some spectacular panoramic views from the top.
Last Alumni Call
In March, we held another Autodesk Strategic Foresight alumni call - for former employees, fellows, interns, and friends. This was similar to the one we did last December and is the last one I will host. After I leave Autodesk, Erin will take over and says she will continue the calls. I will then be an alumnus.
Multi Camera Flight
I put a GoPro under my left wing and another in the cockpit looking out the front windshield and coordinated the timing. Click on each side-by-side pair simultaneously to see the two-camera effect over western Sonoma and Marin counties. At about 2:10 the wing camera slips into a downward view because of wind on it. The wing camera also shut off about 11 minutes before the cockpit camera. The cockpit camera captures the entire flight.
San Francisco Office Moveout
At the end of March, in preparation for my retirement at the beginning of May, I went into the San Francisco Autodesk office at One Market to clean out my office. I had not been there, except for one brief afternoon, for over a year. Note the date on the calendar in the lower right picture. It is as if time stopped. This is before the cleanout...
