June is Jon's first full month in retirement and we began to get out and about with a couple of outdoor parties.
Retirement
June marked Jon's first full month in retirement. He kept very busy with tennis, swimming, hiking, biking, flying, and reading - as well as keeping in touch with friends and former co-workers. Care took this sterotypical picture on the afternoon of June 1, when Jon fell asleep in our backyard hammock.
Leslie 60th Birthday Bash
On June 19, we went to our friend Leslie's house to celebrate her birthday, Care's birthday, Leslie's engagment, and the engagement of some of her relatives. She has also sold her house so this was the last party of many at her house in Sonoma. It was great to go to a real party and connect with old friends.
June Todd Herber
On June 22, our niece, Megan, had her second child June Todd Herber. Nana Jane (Jon's sister) and June's sister, Sophie, were quite interested in the new arrival.

MALT Picnic
On June 27, we went to a picnic at the Gallagher North Bend Ranch hosted by the MALT, the Marin Agricultural Land Trust There was music and it was a nice day to be out in West Marin County.
