Highlights of March 2009
See what we were reading in March 2009 Our brother-in-law Rusty goes to the Odd Couple's ball with our niece, Erin.
Megan, Mallory, and Farrah visit Our nieces Megan and Mallory came for dinner with Mallory's friend Farrah.
A Night at the Autodesk Gallery On March 16, Jon hosted a night at the Autodesk Gallery for his UC Berkeley students and invited some Stanford students as well. Carl was the keynote speaker.
Over Berkeley spring break, Jon did not have to teach so we took advantage of the brief respite for a long weekend at Sea Ranch. First, we dropped Jon's plane in Healdsburg for its annual maintenance and drove west along the Russian River from there. The house we typically rent, Summerwind, was rented so we had an opportunity to stay in a different house, Osprey. Osprey was a very cool house - oceanfront, new, and very well-appointed. It has a nice garden and great view of the water. The weather was rainy and windy - perfect for a couple of days reading in front of the fire. It was a great way to welcome spring. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Visual Thinking On March 30th, Tom Wujec taught a session in visual thinking at Jon's Berkeley course.
The night of March 30th, Jon and Care had dinner at Cavallo Point, a new resort at Ft. Baker, an old military base at the foot of the Golden Gate Bridge, near Sausalito. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
